A tiny ossicle is noted at the base of the fifth metatarsal (in the peroneus brevis tendon).

Case Discussion

An os vesalianum is a rare accessory ossicle of the foot, much less common than os peroneum or a non-united avulsion fracture of the 5th metatarsal styloid.
