Well-defined ossification in the common hamstring tendon (biceps and semitendinosus) on the left. Minimal change in a similar location on the right.
Case Discussion
Dystrophic ossification in tendons is well recognised (e.g. Achilles), however, the location and extent in this case is very unusual. Note how the calcification is well ossified (ie looks like bone). It is presumed to have occurred due to previous injury some time ago.
