Presentation

Medial knee joint pain.

Patient Data

Age: 15
Gender: Male
Modality: X-ray

Mixed lucent/sclerotic lesion at the medial femoral condyle articular surface in keeping with an osteochondral defect. 

Modality: MRI

MR confirms the presence of an osteochondral defect. 

Case Discussion

  • femoral condyle is the most common location
  • causes include osteochondritis dissecans, AVN, trauma and post-surgical
