Presentation

Chronic knee pain.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male

Osteochondral defect of the lateral aspect of the medial femoral condyle with underlying marrow edema signal demonstrating low T1 and high PDFS / STIR signal.

Degenerated PHMM with increased intra-meniscal signal intensity. No meniscal tear. Intact cruciate and collateral ligaments.

The tibial plateau shows a small 1 cm lobulated lesion demonstrating low T1 and high PD fat suppression / STIR signal. Mild joint effusion.

Normal signal and girth of the peri-articular musculature.
