Presentation

Mass like lesion near the right knee. Acute pain.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

A pedunculated bony lesion is seen in the metaphyseal region of the right knee which is projecting away from the epiphysis. There is mild broadening of the metaphysis from which it arises. The cartilage cap is also noted with rings and arcs calcification. An undisplaced fracture through the neck is noted. 

Case Discussion

The findings of the x-ray are consistent of pedunculated osteochondroma.
Femur (especially distal) is the most common site of osteochondroma.
