Known osteogenesis imperfecta.

Patient Data

Age: 20
Gender: Female

Bilateral bowing deformity of the femur, tibia and fibula secondary to underlying osteogenesis imperfecta. 

Intramedullary nail within the right femur. 

Significant muscular wasting bilaterally. 

Lower limb length: right - 71 cm, left - 69 cm. 

Case Discussion

This is one of the cases that may be shown during the Viva part of the FRCR part 2 exam. 

The patient had a known history of osteogenesis imperfecta.
