Osteoid osteoma - radius

Presentation

Chronic right forearm pain for three months and relief with analgesics.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

There is a 4 x 6 mm cortically-based lesion with a central osteolytic (nidus) and peripheral sclerosis in the anterior aspect of the right mid-shaft of the radius.

A sclerotic lesion with a nidus along with the radius anterior aspect mid-shaft with a central tiny hypointensity (punctate calcification) and perifocal bone edema on the right side.

No significant periosteal reaction is seen.
