Left lower lateral femoral metaphyseal lytic lesion. Thick periostitis and interrupted soft tissues planes adjacent.
Case Discussion
The earliest changes of osteomyelitis are present adjacent to soft tissues, swelling and blurring of normal fat planes. An effusion may be seen in an adjacent joint.
