The 2nd metatarsal head shows flattening, cortical irregularity, and subchondral low signal line associated with adjacent bone marrow edema in keeping with Freiberg infraction.
Case Discussion
MR imaging features were consistent with Freiberg avascular necrosis of the 2nd metatarsal head.
