The medial joint surface of left humeral head is slightly flattened and deformed with increased sub-articular sclerosis and few cystic changes. There is reduced glenohumeral joint space.
Case Discussion
Anteroposterior and lateral views of the shoulder are the main modality for the diagnosis and assessment of osteoarthritis of shoulder.
Principal signs of osteoarthritis are the following:
- subchondral sclerosis
- joint space narrowing
- marginal osteophyte formation
- bony erosions/subchondral cyst formation
