Presentation

Abdominal pain and gradual swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
  • There is an 8*20*24 cm very large multiloculated complex cystic mass lesion that originated from the left adnexa, occupied the pelvic cavity with a pressure effect on pelvic organs and upward extension to the level of the umbilicus.
  • Two smaller internal multiloculated cystic masses measuring about 6*13 cm and 7*9 cm also are seen within the mentioned larger cyst.
  • After contrast injection, the cystic mass and internal cystic components also show marked peripheral and internal enhancing septations.
  • The right ovary is unremarkable.

Case Discussion

Pathology proved of the ovarian borderline mucinous cystadenoma.

Tumor size: 24 cm in greatest dimension.

Ovarian surface involvement: absent

Peritoneal fluid cytology: no malignant cell.
