Ovarian endometriomas

Presentation

Chronic pelvic pain.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
mri

Enlarged ovaries located in Douglas pouch, in close proximity giving the kissing ovaries sign.

The right ovary shows a unilocular cyst (3.6 x3.6 x 3.4 cm) of high signal on T1 and T1 fat sat, T2 shading sign as well as T2 dark spot sign with no peripheral enhancement seen on postcontrast sequences.

The left ovary shows numerous cysts, the largest measures (5.2 x 4.5 x 4.3 cm). They elicit a high signal on T1 and T1 fat sat, T2 shading sign with T2 dark spot sign for the largest cyst. No peripheral enhancement seen on postcontrast sequences.

Normal appearance of the uterus.
