Presentation
Chronic pelvic pain and lower abdominal distension.
Patient Data
There is a large well-defined, predominantly fluid attenuating mass lesion with some fat contents and large calcifications in the lower abdomen reaching the right adnexal region measuring about 15 x 10 x 17 cm in CC, AP, and TR dimensions respectively.
No significant adjacent infiltrative or inflammatory changes.
No enlarged abdominal and pelvic lymph nodes.
The lesion results in mild compression over both ureters with proximal mild prominence of the collecting system.
The uterus and left ovary are normal.
Case Discussion
The features are suggestive of large ovarian mature cystic teratoma of the right adnexa.
