Ovarian serous cystadenoma

Asymptomatic patient. On routine ultrasound examination was revealed a large pelvic-abdominal cystic formation.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female

CT Abdomen and pelvis

There is a large fluid-filled and septated mass apparently arising from the pelvis, in the right adnexal region. A calcified uterine fibroid and left uretero-hydronephrosis are present. 

Case Discussion

This case was further confirmed as an ovarian serous cystadenoma, which is a type of benign ovarian epithelial tumour.
