Presentation

Abdominopelvic pain and distention.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

A 346×295×170mm large solitary well-defined abdominopelvic cystic lesion is noted without obvious solid component or papillary projection; extends from pelvis until the upper abdomen and level of pancreas. Severe hydroureteronephrosis with marked renal parenchymal atrophic changes are seen at right side due to pressure of cystic lesion on distal of right ureter.
A 48×36mm unilocular cyst is also observed at left adnexa.

 

Case Discussion

Path proven ovarian serous cystadenoma which is a type of benign ovarian epithelial tumor at the benign end of the spectrum of ovarian serous tumors.
