Ovarian torsion

Enlarged edematous right ovary measuring about 2.5 x 3.5 x 4 cm along maximal AP, TS & CC dimensions. It shows multiple peripherally arranged follicles and is seen indenting the posterior uterine wall.
Case Discussion
Ovarian torsion can occur in young girls because of ovarian hypermobility, ligamentous laxity as well as the presence of adnexal mass. The patients present with acute pelvic pain. Ultrasound and Doppler examination are the 1st imaging modality done for those patients.
