Ovarian torsion

The left ovary is edematous and markedly enlarged with multiple peripherally located follicles.
There is also twisting of the left ovarian pedicle with multiple ovarian stromal T1 hyperintense foci that are extremely hypointense in the T2 (hemorrhagic foci).
Mild amount of free abdominal fluid.
Overall features are consistent with ovarian torsion.
Case Discussion
Ovarian torsion was surgically proved.
