Follow-up of adenocarcinoma of the sphenoid sinus.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

Bilateral deep calcarine sulcus with prominent protrusion of the medial walls of the occipital horns, creating an aspect of an accessory occipital ventricle.

Case Discussion

Oversulcation of the calcar avis is an anatomical variant that may mimic gray matter heterotopia or schizencephaly on MRI.
