Pacemaker lead kinked

Recent increase in palpitations.

Patient Data

Age: 85 years
Gender: Male

One of the pacemaker leads is kinked at the confluence of the brachiocephalic veins. No lead fracture.

Multiple surgical clips in the left hemithorax. Tortuous thoracic aortic aneurysm (known).

Case Discussion

Lead integrity can be assessed on CXR.
