Marked sclerosis and trabecular pattern of the distal third of the right ulna is noted with bony expansion. No fracture or associated soft tissue component. Rest of the bones and joints appear normal.
Case Discussion
Paget disease of bone results in bone expansion with a coarsened trabecular pattern.
In the long bones it starts as a subchondral lucency and advances towards diaphysis giving a blade of grass sign.
Complications include pathological fracture, malignant transformation, congestive cardiac failure.
