Pancoast tumor

Right shoulder pain

Patient Data

Age: 55 years old
Gender: Male

Well-defined enhanced mass is seen at posterior segment of right upper lobe with invasion into upper mediastinum. Right brachiocephalic vein and right subclavian artery encased by tumor. Fat plane between esophagus and tumor seems to be obliterated. Parenchymal nodules are seen at the same lobe and also other lobes. Mediastinal lymphadenopathy is noted. 

Case Discussion

The findings are consistent with Pancoast tumor (superior sulcus tumor). 
Histology: non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC)
