Pancoast tumor presenting with Horner syndrome

Right shoulder and chest pain, slowly worsening over 4 weeks. Wife reports drooping right eyelid.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male

Opacity in the right apex with course interstitial lines extending inferiorly to the elevated right hilum. Hyperlucent hyperinflated lungs suggest background COPD.

Eroded right first rib.

Case Discussion

The patient underwent further staging with CT and PET at a different institution as well as biopsy which confirmed SCC. The patient was a smoker with progressive emphysema.
