Unfortunately the CT is not available
Indentation and displacement of the 2nd part of the dudoneum by a mass, typically at this site a mass in the head of pancreas.
The mass is eroding the mucosa of the 2nd part of duodenum just proximal to the D2-D3 junction.
Case Discussion
Fluroscopy is decreasingly used in contemporary imaging. This case illustrates some sound principles from fluoroscopic work:
- the displacement of normal anatomical positions of structures
- the appearances of external compression and mucosal erosion
- the skill involves not just interpretation, but the acquisition of images, to get the best diagnosis
