Pancreatic mucinous cystadenoma

Incidental pancreatic tail lesion on CT KUB.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
Modality: CT

Enhancing pancreatic tail lesion measures 43 x 50 mm. No calcification is identified. The lesion appears macrocystic with poorly defined septa. It abuts the anterior cortex of the left kidney without evidence of invasion. No communication with the pancreatic duct, which is not dilated. No other pancreatic lesion identified.

No hepatic metastasis are identified. No lymphadenopathy.

Case Discussion

Imaging features and location in a 60-year-old female are typical for a pancreatic mucinous cystadenoma, which has malignant potential.
