Acute interstitial pancreatitis associated with peripancreatic fluid collections and phlegmonous change. There is no rim enhancement to suggest an abscess.

Enlargement of pancreas.

Peripancreatic inflammatory changes

Mild perisplenic and perihepatic ascites.

Case Discussion

This patient presented with a background of alcohol substance use disorder and a lipase of >3000.

Complete resolution was achieved with IV fluids, a free fluid diet, and monitoring as an inpatient.
