Papillary carcinoma of the breast

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Abnormal Screening mammogram. No clinical complaints. No family history of breast cancer.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female
mammography

Palpable mass.

Breast parenchyma density: Heterogeneously dense (ACR type c).

Findings: In the left breast, at 3 o'clock, there is a round, partly indistinct marginated, high density mass with a 22 mm diamter.

ultrasound

Hypoechoic mass with hypervascularization in the margin and high values in the shear wave elastography. Diamter 11 x 17 x 21 mm.

Case Discussion

Ultrasound guided biopsy was performed. Histology showed papillary carcinoma of the breast.
