Palpable mass thyroid

Patient Data

Age: 60
Gender: Female
Ultrasound

Solid hypoechoic lesion with no thin "halo" lucent to differentiate it form the surrounding parenchyma. The lesion contains multiple microcalcifications with moderate bloodflow on Doppler.

Case Discussion

This is a high suspicion thyroid nodule that requires FNA. 

FNA: papillary carcinoma.
