ultrasound

8 x 11 mm small solid lesion in the left lobe of the thyroid. Just one or two calcifications also present. The teaching point ("snapshot" ) is the fact that the lesion does not have a halo around it. The lesion is ragged and in places the differentiation between lesion and parenchyma is not possible.

Case Discussion

Another "snapshot" of biopsy-confirmed thyroid imaging. Confirmed 11 mm papillary carcinoma left lobe thyroid. Even though the lesion is on the 10 mm cut-off for FNAC, the absent halo makes a compelling case to intervene.
