Presentation
Known case of papillary thyroid cancer post-ablation therapy.
Patient Data
Age: 70 years
Gender: Male
Note: This case has been tagged as "legacy" as it no longer meets image preparation and/or other case publication guidelines.

Negative I131 WB scan.
Axial

Hight FDG uptake (max SUV >7).
From the case:
Papillary thyroid carcinoma - recurrence
Axial C+ portal venous phase

Soft tissue lesion is seen near the thyroidectomy bed, at the tracheo-oesophagal groove.
Case Discussion
I131 WB scan is negative though the patient has high Thyroglobulin (TG) level (2000 ng/mL) suggestive of recurrence or metastasis. The presence of soft tissue nodule at thyroidectomy bed favor recurrent papillary thyroid cancer.
