Paracervical leiomyoma

Presentation

Lower abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

There is a well defined lesion noted in the right paracervical region.

There is a well defined lesion noted in the right paracervical space. This lesion is seen to project into the ipsilateral anterior fornix. It appears hypointense on T1 and intermediate on T2. Central cystic areas with few hypointensities noted. Signal intensity loss noted on T1 FAT SAT images. Peripheral contrast enhancement noted.  The cervical stroma is seen separately from the lesion.

Right ovary is bulky and shows a unilocular, well defined cystic lesion. It is thin walled and appears hypointense on T1 , hyperintense on T2 and hypointense on T1 FAT SAT images. No restriction on DWI/ ADC images. No abnormal contrast enhancement.No internal debris / septa / nodule. No features of mass affect or torsion.
