Abdominal pain with obstructive jaundice.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male
mri
  • distal end CBD 26 mm signal-void obstructing stone

  • normal variant of an elongated parallel course of the cystic duct with low medial insertion into the dilated CHD

  • moderate dilatation of the intrahepatic biliary radicles

  • markedly distended GB, no stones

Case Discussion

This case nicely demonstrates one of the anatomical variations of the cystic duct anatomy in which there is a parallel course of CHD and cystic duct with low medial insertion.
