Presentation

Painful swelling of the posteromedial aspect of the right knee.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male
mri

There is a horizontal tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus with an associated parameniscal cyst measuring 2.6 x 2 cm.

The lateral meniscus, as well as the cruciate and collateral ligaments are intact.
