Bilateral arciform echogenic structure with intense posterior acoustic located in the paraspinal regions.

Few non-enhanced CT cuts were performed after the ultrasound exam centered on L2 vertebrae show a well-defined ovoid structures in the paraspinal regions (mean attenuation = 100 HU) with no air bubbles.
Case Discussion
The ultrasound and CT features in a patient with a history of surgery is highly suggestive of a gossypiboma which was confirmed at surgery (two surgical gauzes were removed).
