The right parotid gland is enlarged with an intra-parotid collection the walls of which enhance following contrast. The abscess has a hypodense central area and a small lucent (gas) bubble, identifying a break of parenchyma and collection extension into the adjacent subcutaneous tissues. No calculi are identified in the parotid or within the duct.
