Parotid infantile hemangioma

Presentation

Swelling of the right parotid region, increasing in size since birth.

Patient Data

Age: 1 year
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Homogenous echogenic parotid mass containig fine echogenic septaions with strong color‐coded duplex activity.

There is a 2.1 x 2.7 cm measuring mass in the left parotid gland. Hypointense in T1, hyperintense in T2. Homogeneously strong and early contrast enhancement is demonstrated. No infiltration of the surrounding structures. No pathologically enlarged lymph nodes.

This finding is compatible with an infantile hemangioma.
