Presentation

Painless swelling in the right parotid region of gradual onset.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

A well defined right parotid mass lesion with fat density (-110 H.U.) measures 2.3 x 4 x 4.2 cm, seen involving the superficial lobe sparing the deep lobe. Internal thin septations are seen.

Case Discussion

Parotid lipoma is a rare benign non-epithelial salivary gland neoplasm. It shows characteristic fat density in all imaging modalities.
