Near complete tear of the biceps tendon insert with few residual fibres attaching to the radial tuberosity. These appear to be the lateral fibres. Bleed in the vicinity extending ventrally and subcutaneous oedema of the forearm.
Patient was referred for an MRI to assess the extent of the biceps tendon tear after ultrasound assessment suggested significant distal biceps tendon tear with fluid filling the tendon defect.
