Presentation

Severe headaches.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female

There is a giant saccular aneurysm of the intracavernous segment of the left internal carotid artery measuring 35 x 30 x 25 mm with a narrowed neck measuring 2 mm. It shows two components, a central component attached to the posterolateral wall of high signal on T1, low signal on T2 and GE sequences, and peripheral component vividly enhanced following IV contrast. A mass effect is noted on the temporal lobe.
