Presentation

Patient with severe heart failure (Grade IV of NYHA).

Patient Data

Age: 76
Gender: Male

CT Abdomen

Modality: CT

Cardiomegaly and small amount of pleural effusion (usually we find symmetric pleural effusion). Early enhancement (arterial phase) of dilated IVC and hepatic veins due to contrast reflux from right atrium into IVC. Signs of hepatomegally and ascites.
