Presentation

Fall from bed.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Male
ct

Type 2 dens fracture, with the fracture line appearing widened anteriorly with C1/2 subluxation. Extensive sclerotic skeletal lesions throughout the skeleton. Multilevel degenerative change. 

Case Discussion

In an elderly male the extensive sclerotic foci are almost certainly prostate cancer, of which this patient had a history of.
