Left thigh pain with vague history of trauma

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

There is a complete oblique fracture at the diaphysis of left femur with associated mild displacement. An area of permeative bone destruction is seen involving the cortex laterally at the site of fracture.

Case Discussion

This is an example of pathological fracture at the femur. The patient is a known case of metastatic breast cancer with widespread bone deposits.
