Left arm trauma

Patient Data

Age: 7 years
Gender: Female

Pathological fracture of the proximal diaphysis of the left humerus, on top of radiolucent benign-looking medullary lesion, likely simple bone cyst. A fallen fragment sign is seen. The rest of the visualized bones and joints show normal alignment, morphology and density.

Conclusion: Pathological fracture of the diaphysis of the left humerus.

Case Discussion


The patient is alert, oriented and in no acute distress. Above elbow backslap applied and arm sling. Referred to orthopedic surgeon for better evaluation.
