Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

PCP pneumonia.

Case Discussion

PCP pneumonia - utility of minimum intensity projections

HRCT thorax revealed perihilar and lower lobar interlobular septal thickening and ground glass opacities. Pneumatocoeles were detected in left upper lobe.

Laboratory data revealed that patient is seropositive for HIV with a low CD4 count.

Patient improved with anti PCP antibiotics.
