Case Discussion

Lipomas are common benign mesenchymal neoplasms composed of adipocytes that originate within the subcutaneous tissues. These tumors can arise from either within the muscle (intramuscular) or between the muscles (inter-muscular). Lipomas usually occur within the extremity muscles, such as the thigh and shoulder. Intramuscular pectoralis lipomas are a rarity.
