Pedunculated subserosal uterine leiomyoma

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

The uterus is moderately enlarged with numerous small interstitial leiomyomas of intermediate signal intensity on T1WI and low signal intensity on T2WI. A large pedunculated subserosal leiomyoma arising from the posterior uterine wall, prolapsing into the Douglas pouch. It is of intermediate signal intensity on T1WI and low signal intensity on T2WI. There is also a small lesion (12 mm) within the uterine cavity of intermediate signal intensity on both TWI and T2WI (most likely small submucosal leiomyoma).

A small right unilocular ovarian cyst is noted with mild intraperitoneal effusion.
