PEG fracture

Case contributed by Dr Jeremy Jones

Case Discussion

A man in his 60s collapsed during a cardiac arrest. He regained a perfusing rhythm, but wasn't breathing on his own. A CT head was requested. An occipital injury was noted and the study extended to include C-spine.

Reconstruction of the images revealed a type III odontoid fracture.
