30 years male with history of right knee trauma presented with chronic pain over knee

Age: 30 Years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Linear calcification adjacent to the margin of the medial femoral condyle

Case Discussion

Lesion is named after Italian and German surgeons ‘Augusto Pellegrini’ and ‘Alfred Stieda’ respectively.

Lesion may mimic tendinous calcification in reactive arthritis which is associated with degenerative changes.
