Right knee swelling and pain.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Mild degenerative bone changes are seen.

Parosteal linear soft tissue calcification is seen overlying the medial femoral condyle.

Case Discussion

50-year-old female-presenting through A&E with right knee swelling and pain. Did not recall history of trauma. X-ray of the knee demonstrates curvilinear calcification adjacent to the medial femoral condyle paralleling the femoral cortex, consistent with a Pellegrini-Stieda lesion.
