Pelvic exenteration is a radical surgery performed in an attempt to cure patients with locally advanced central pelvic malignancies. It includes evisceration of bladder, urethra, rectum, anus, and in females vagina and uterus sometimes partial sacralectomy also needs to be done. Exenteration is considered only after other initial therapies such as chemoradiation.
