Case Discussion
Patient presented to the ED with lower abdominal pain for which abdominal ultrasound was carried out. The lesion was mistaken for a calcified mass in the residual ovary. Further history taking, x-ray and CT scan revealed a gossypiboma with gas foci and a radiopaque marker within the retained surgical mop.
